Sentence Sea Update: Filter Sentences by Journal Impact Factor

52 sec read

TL; DR

Sentence Sea advanced feature just got an upgrade. You can now filter results based on the journal impact factor of the source articles.

Sentence Sea is a huge sentence database containing hundreds of millions of English sentences (and growing). It’s a powerful way to enrich your writing with example sentences, find literature to support your points, and compare research methods.

But with so many results, it can sometimes be overwhelming to quickly find exactly what you need.

To make things faster and more intuitive, Sentence Sea now allows you to filter sentences by the impact factor of their source journals.

Simply go to Option → Impact Factor, select your preferred range, and instantly narrow down to sentences that better match your needs.

This means you can not only find expressions that closely align with your ideas, but also prioritize sentences from high-quality journals.

A quick tip:

While impact factor filtering is helpful, setting the range too narrowly might reduce relevance. Check both full and filtered results to balance relevance and quality.

If you’re working on an English paper, this update is definitely worth trying!
